Ionosphere Mitigation for GPS-Based Aircraft Landing
This page tracks progress in defining filtering strategies that either (1) reduce the errors induced by ionosphere storms on single-frequency GPS filtering or (2) alert pilots of an anomalous event and exclude affected satellites.
Fall 2007: Our initial efforts involved the derivation of an optimized linear filter that results in the lowest possible transient error in response to an ionosphere ramp. This paper is available online.
