  1. We did this activity with Ms. Hong's 5th grade ESL class, and it was not very successful. Most of the kids couldn't attach the spaghetti sticks with the tape very efficiently, and everybody's tower broke at some point, which led them to do some hasty patchwork of their tower using the sticks of spaghetti they had left. At the end, there were many short towers with relatively uninspired kids. Perhaps the lesson is better suited for older, less clumsy classes.
