Overview

Mission Statement:
The Boston Student Advisory Council advocates for and protects the voices of students in the Boston Public School system. It empowers the student body to express their opinions regarding educational policy changes and ensures that students are included in the decision and policy making that impacts their lives and educational experiences.

Project Goal:
1. Support BSAC members in their writing and submission for the BSAC website in addition to amintaining the website.
2. Support a group of BSAC graduates in the planning and implementation of an alumni event.
3. Develop an outreach program to recruit for the new student member on the Boston School Committee.
4. Support BSAC by conducting research on policy issues as needed.
5. Production of quarterly newsletter sent out to students, teachers administrators in the Boston Pubic Schools.
6. Assist the BSAC writer in producing written pieces to be published in the Boston Globe's Teens In Print newspaper.
