Welcome!

Welcome to our wiki collaboration space for considering characteristics of "millennial students," aka "digital natives," aka "the ne(x)t generation." I look forward to gathering with you all on Friday, January 25th. In preparation for that meeting, I invite you to watch part or all of the Marilee Jones keynote address below (49:50 total length), to experience "A Vision of Students Today" via the YouTube video below (4:44 total length), and to peruse any of the links that interest you under "Further Reading and Multimedia Perspectives." I especially recommend Diana Oblinger's "Boomers, Gen-Xers, and Millennials: Understanding the New Students" because it's well-researched and brief. Please use the "Add Comment" link at the bottom of the page liberally: share your thoughts and questions to give your peers and me a sense for the kinds of topics you'd like us to explore when we meet. On January 25th, I'll offer a brief presentation to summarize some of the data and common perspectives on Millennial Students and then facilitate our conversation. All best, Gina
