About Abby

Abigail Cross (née Al-Doory) came to Tufts in 2001 as the Music Library Assistant. She moved to the Tisch Reference Department as a reference and instruction librarian in September 2006. In May 2006, Abby received her MLS from Simmons College and an MA in Music Composition from Tufts. Before Tufts, she studied piano at the Longy School of Music after completing her BA at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. Her 15 minutes of fame was spent on the attention received for her masters thesis project at Tufts, a one-act chamber opera called Tonya and Nancy: the Opera, with a libretto written by Elizabeth Searle. Abby lives in Somerville with her husband Andrew and two cats, Mew and Filibuster.
